Exactly a year ago, I had the fantastic opportunity to visit Belgium. With so many cultures (Belgium has three official languages; Dutch, French and German), history and undeniable character it was overwhelmingly beautiful. Above is a picture I took of an ornate passage way we went through while walking from our hotel to the Grand-Palace in Brussels. I travelled with a group of buyers from Canada to see a few flooring manufacturers. It was quite apparent that the quality and pride Belgians have for their country is well reflected in their products. In the evenings they were our hosts, taking us to all the places we just had to see, giving us an intimate view of the cities like Brussels and Ghent from an insider.
The Connaught Hotel is located in the fashionable district of Mayfair Village in London. The penthouse suite is The Apartment, an airy and inviting design by David Collins. The ombre curtains direct your eyes from the white painted cathedral ceilings to the comforts below like the indigo velvet sofa that anchors the room. Ombre allows you to pull from all the colors in between without having to add anything else. Gold accents polish this fabulous look.
Sweetiepie Restaurant was a delicious little spot in New York where tots and those who are kids at heart could stop in for treats, lunch, or all day breakfast. It is a fun little spot that any parent wouldn’t go begrudgingly when asked to, and the menu makes that quite clear. Kids could order a Roy Rogers and a hambuger while you could dine on a schnitzel with lemon white wine sauce.
What do you get when you mix a brand marketing pro, and an executive from a successful hotel group? -A fantastic idea! “Meet at the Apartment” is a space in downtown New York meant for business meetings and the like. Need a haute spot to launch an idea, talk to clients, pitch your homerun? This meeting spot is a fantastic concept, especially in a world of home offices. Whatever the case, or reason, this place is sure to impress. Here is the exterior.

Writers imagine, dream and create fantastic stories riddled with so much imagery that you can almost taste, feel, breathe the atmosphere they have built. Designers?-We are a blessed sort since we can actually build a tactile creation of our imagination, inspiration and collaboration and present it. The Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar is a fabulous example of a surreal creation where you can dine 61 floors above the busy streets of bustling Bangkok. The rooftop stunner is sophisticated and brilliantly luminous, definitely a must see next time you are in this gorgeous city.
