Black and White Damask Wallpaper

Black and White Damask Wallpaper

I love damask, and black and white, so this wallpaper has got my attention.  The wallpaper graphic is a large pattern and has a pattern repeat of 27”, which means it would make a big statement on your wall.  What statement you ask, well, something on the line of “Yes, thank you, I do have GREAT taste”.  Outspoken? –No, just bold and fabulous. Style: BC1581410 by Design by Color.

My, my, my, did it get hot in here or is it just me? Hmmm, it might just be the hot vibes from this hot pink chaise by Laurel Crown Furniture.  If you are a fan and would consider going this daring albeit fabulous route, you must be careful and pair this one of a kind with some black (or white) and neutral tones.   No need to paint a red accent wall in this room.

The g Hotel

the g Hotel Pink Salon by Treacy

The g, the flagship of the Monogram Hotel Group, is a smashing design that would delight any traveler.  Designed by Galway native and hat-designer extraordinaire, Philip Treacy; every room is an art show in true form.  The Pink Salon is what originally drew my attention; the hypnotizing vortex patterned carpet, the hot-bikini pink on the walls, and the Andy Warhol-print chairs.  As hot and flirty as the Pink Salon radiates, just see how cool and aloof the Grand Salon is….

As much of interest to mathematicians as it is to artists, as relevant to physics as to architecture; symmetry underlies almost every aspect of nature and our experience of the world. Illustrated with old engravings and original work by the author, this book moves from church windows and mirror reflections to the deepest ideas of hidden symmetries in physics and geometry, music and the arts, left- and right-handedness. Garlic Press

 Garlic Press

We moved to a house with a bigger kitchen -which meant more storage room; and that was all the encouragement I needed to buy lots of things I don’t use/ need.  This however, is so clever and chic, how could I not?  This garlic press is a superior design of its predecessors, it has slots, not holes so it is easier to clean, and it even houses extra garlic cloves in his little glass home.  Plus I wouldn’t store it away in a drawer; this little beauty can sit right on my counter.

Get This Look: Deliciously Monochromatic Kitchen

Monochromatic Kitchen<.a>

White painted cabinets aren’t always a cold white know you, they also come in a vast assortment of creams and linens and glazes, each oozing warmth and comfort- if you know how to pair it up with everything else that is.  This kitchen featured here above was put together in mostly monochromatic tones.  To keep it from becoming boring, the trick is varying heights, varying tones, and most of all varying TEXTURE.
