Its glass door, sculpted metal, dual refrigerator with three evaporators and advanced controls marry performance and design in a bold new way for home refrigeration. I saw a similar glass door commercial fridge in a home, and although it looked fabulous, the homeowners had to live with loud humming that usually accompanies heavy duty appliances, not so with this beauty!

Portal Mirror

I love the regency ebony and gold of the Portal Mirror by Restoration Hardware.  With convex shape and double frame making it 29 ½” overall, it is a generous size and interesting shape.  It somewhat reminds me of the convex mirror in the background of Jan van Eyck’s (Dutch Painter) “The Arnolfini Marriage”(in which if you look at the reflection you can see the artist himself – tricky, tricky).
