Storing Wine

If you carry more than a few bottles of vintage ports, you may be interested in devoting an entire (climate controlled) room to storing and tasting wine. A wine cellar is great for increasing the value of your home, and looks spectacular when done as well as the Wine Cellar featured in the Ski Magazine Dream home designed by Utah’s favorite Michael Upwall.

Hula Tumbler Glasses

Hula Tumbler Glasses

We celebrated the long weekend with BBQ’s and playing in the sun with our now toddling toddler. There is just something about this hot weather that has me breaking out the fun colors! These four mouthblown tumbler glasses have such a fun shape! Aptly named the Hula Tumbler glasses, they roll and swirl as playfully as their colors imply.

Beverage Server

After a lovely visit to the incredible spa at the Muskoka resort; Red Leaves, I am looking for a beverage server like the ones they had dotted conveniently around the spa rooms. Cool iced water with fresh fruits like citrus and strawberries is served ever so graciously in glass beverage servers.

Feathered Friends

The warm weather has been unseasonably generous lately, the flowers are blooming and I see two birds outside my window today who seem to be seriously considering to build a nest in my growing red maple tree. Few other creatures have been ornamented with such gorgeous colours and vivid plumage! Welcome all my feathered friends, this one is for you!

The fresh colors of the “Chirp” dinnerware by Lenox is a bold watercolor blast of color to get you out of the winter doldrums. Oh robins’ egg blue and flushed corals can get me right back into Spring.

Quill Flatware

Quill Flatware by Pottery Barn Feather

I love the feathered quill design on this hansome flatware design, even though I have a hard time thinking about the term feathered in a positive way now (I was the feathered hair child of the 80’s for a long time). Pottery Barn’s own very own design is a great transitional flatware that can go from casual to glamorous depending on the dressed table.

Fiesta Lemongrass and Chocolate

lemongrass fiesta dinnerware new color

I am not sure what it is about the fun and colorful Fiesta dinnerware that has me so enamored, but I find it irrisistable, and I am slowly building my collection. New to the Fiesta family is the color Lemongrass.  It seems that the punchier-than-celadon green is gearing towards the younger crowd that is new to Fiesta, and sure to be future devotees joining in with the large population of longtime patrons to the USA made brand. Lemongrass is now available in stores.
