I went to a diner the other day and ordered the special of the day which came with dessert, the waitress asked me if I wanted jello or ice cream. Well, that depended on the flavor of the jello I inquired, to which she replied "red".

Red is probably one of the best accent colors around. Cherry red is like a burst of energy in the room, just see how much life the Abstrakt cabinet doors bring into this laundry room.  Fashion Stylist Sandra Pittana keeps it simple but glam with lots of gloss and just the right amount of punch. The red seems to match perfectly with her LG front load washer and dryer!

I normally do not reccommend differing cabinet colors, but in this case going with white horizontal cabinet uppers worked very well.  They do not feel heavy, and help visually lift the lower ceiling in this basement.

By the way, the jello was strawberry.
