You would certainly recognize this chaise as a classic. This Chaise Lounge is adjustable, as the chromed-steel cradle sits in a black steel base. How strangely this design seems as effortless and modern as his other well-known furniture pieces. Le Corbusier was certainly a genius and rightly placed in history, as the Art Deco modernism movement equally embraced and was influenced by this design giant. Reproduction $799 |

The sweeping lines of chrome tubing make the Barcelona Chair from the Modernist movement one of my all-time favorites! Designed in 1930 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, this design is somewhat more feminine, this can possibly be attributed to the repercussions of the Art Nouveaux movement that came before. The matching ottoman to the Barcelona Chair is just as spectacular! |

Le Corbusier was mainly an architect and writer who started to experiment with furniture design only a year before he designed this ultra-modern chair collection! Inspired and designed in the late roaring 1920’s, this classic furniture line is still as impacting and fresh today as the day they were birthed. Pieces of this sofa set are available starting at $1670, but my recommendation is to purchase either two of the chairs or just the sofa and complement it with something different (like the Barcelona chair) to mix it up a bit. The blank canvas effect of these pieces completely allow for it.Reproductions Starting at $789 |

I am all for a tufted leather boudoir chaise, my eyes are getting droopy just thinking of the glorious naps I would have on one of these babies. Yes, so I am in the market for a lounge, let's consider the options together shall we? Contestant Number One has a straight forward attitude, is very masculine, but likes to dress up for a splashy night on the town with nail trimming and over-sized brass castors. The Noble Estate Chaise by Ralph Lauren would treat you to a voyage on his yacht followed by a game of chess on the deck. Starting at $10,485 Contestant Number Two is carefree and artistic. He has a muscular build and detailed wood carvings in a deep tan brown. The Bellagio Leather Chaise hails from JC Penny and would take you to the latest art exhibition at the musuem and after, ice-cream on the pier. Was $1449 Now $879 So ladies and gentlmen, whom, um, I mean...which would you choose? |
