Misty Carrera Quartz White Marble Countertop

Caeserstone Quartz surfaces has one color I can’t get enough of; the Misty Carrera (#4141).  It contains the luxurious beauty of Carrera White Marble, but is now replicated in one of the earths’ toughest surfaces- Quartz.  Marble can be soft and scratch easily, this new color by Caeserstone has bridged the gap between beauty and brawn.  Who says you can’t have it all?

 Garlic Press

We moved to a house with a bigger kitchen -which meant more storage room; and that was all the encouragement I needed to buy lots of things I don’t use/ need.  This however, is so clever and chic, how could I not?  This garlic press is a superior design of its predecessors, it has slots, not holes so it is easier to clean, and it even houses extra garlic cloves in his little glass home.  Plus I wouldn’t store it away in a drawer; this little beauty can sit right on my counter.

 Monochromatic Kitchen

White painted cabinets aren’t always a cold white know you, they also come in a vast assortment of creams and linens and glazes, each oozing warmth and comfort- if you know how to pair it up with everything else that is.  This kitchen featured here above was put together in mostly monochromatic tones.  To keep it from becoming boring, the trick is varying heights, varying tones, and most of all varying TEXTURE.  Different sheens and mattes allude to shades of the same color scheme.  You can play this up in many ways, from the rough stone-like backsplash tile, to the subtle gloss on the countertops (in this case Quartz), to the matte finish of the cabinets.  Lighting is also very important; task, accent and general lighting are all featured in this kitchen.
