Cabinet of Natural Curiosities

This jumbo sized book entitled “Albertus Seba’s Cabinet of Natural Curiosities (Jumbo)” is comprised of wonderfully colored commissioned illustrations of Albertus Seba’s unprecedented collection.  His strange and exotic collection included everything from plants to snakes, frogs, crocodiles, shellfish, corals, insects, butterflies and more, as well as fantastic beasts, such as a hydra and a dragon.  Some of the featured creatures have since become extinct, making this 18th century book one of the most prized natural history books of all time. Creativity can be stimulated by nature, and my, is this book inspiring!
