Nothing is as clean and refreshing in a kitchen as white cabinetry. Let's take a look at some of my recent favorites shall we?

White Kitchen by Karen Williams in Calcutta Gold

Why does white cabinetry seem so appealing? Because it is classic! Time honoured and true, these white painted, face-framed cabinets are symmetrically balanced and are enhanced by the Calcutta Stone countertop and camel back apron sink. This particular design is by Karen Williams.

White Kitchen all White

The glossy unadorned door and drawer fronts on this kitchen keeps it simple and sleek. Get this look with Carrera Marble tops and a glossy white Calvi door style by Kitchen Craft.

White Kitchen by Kathleen Hay

Vaulted ceilings and white walls make this large kitchen by Kathleen Hay larger than life. Doesn't it just make you want to take a deep breath? Notice the subway tile backsplash, another nod to the classic kitchen look.

White Kitchen By Mick De Giulio

While not all white, this kitchen by Mick De Giulio is well balanced, mixing a little black to frame the white cabinets. Who wouldn't love that dark charcoal painted pantry?

White Kitchen BY Molly Frey Designs

The best part about all that glorious art-gallery white is that is allows the home owner to accentuate with accent colors in a very vivid way. Like punctuation marks, the light turquoise dishes in this kitchen dot the walls and table space like a tittle on an i. The best part is that these accent colors can be changed with the seasons simply by switching them up with other accessories.

Have you noticed anything interesting about these few kitchens? They all have either glass doors or open shelves, which makes the white all the more airy and open. Note that if you have a new found desire to paint your cabinets white, do tell your local paint professional that you intend on using the paint on cabinetry. They have special paint like melamine paint that works perfectly on cabinets, regular latex paint may not adhere properly (causing paint to peel, and you only want to have to do this once), and can cause the doors to stick in the warmer months.

Quatrefoil Clover Side Chair by Suzanne Kasler

What do you like best about the above photo? The calming sea-blue and cream tones? The neoclassic shapes of the bench and chair? I have my eyes on the Alexandra Side Chair.

The stunning Quatrefoil shaped back on his upholstered chair was designed by Suzanne Kasler for Hickory. The interesting and architecturally classic motif makes this an excellent choice for an accent chair.

Key Coat Hook Rack Yale

The Yale Key Coat Rack by Graham and Green is fun fun fun. The exaggerated size of a typical house key is put to use as an artful coat rack. They have a similar smaller version as well for keys!

Stone Source Amethyst Stone Tub Deck

This is what you get when you combine opulence and technology. A backlit Amethyst stone tub deck looks absolutely divine in this application by Stone Source. Since many of the semi-precious stones are translucent, the result is a soft glow that radiates and enhances the stone's natural beauty.

Amethyst Stone Stone Source

IF you are partial to classic purple tones like me, then Amethyst is a perfect choice. Stone Source offers many different stones however, like Quartz, or a ravishing Red Carnelian that would be perfectly suited in any stunning commercial application like restaurant or bar.

How lovely is this backlit stone table? It is just another example of Stone Source's incomparable workmanship.
