The Art Nouveau movement is marked by the focus of “the natural world” style and fluid lines. These cast iron reproduction fireplaces bear the marks and character of the originals they were designed from. The Paris fireplace is an all-in-one combination fireplace, in a highlight finish, typical of the period with its florid interlaced French Art Nouveau style motifs - shown here with a black granite hearth.

The Kelmscott fireplace is an all-in-one cast iron Combination Fireplace, in a polished finish - a distinctive European Art Nouveau style, shown here with a black granite hearth. The feminine opulence is very distinctive style and would be a very nice touch in a modern boudoir or sitting room. |

Have you ever watched an adventure movie where someone suggests a crazy idea to get out of a sticky situation and the hero turns and says “That’s just wild enough that it just might work”, well, I had the same feeling when I looked at this wildly glass-emblazoned mirror. The symmetry gives balance to the intricacy of the mirrored pieces, and at 25.5” in diameter, this round mirror is just bold enough, that it just might work on that accent wall or front foyer to make a impacting first glance. So much better than a boring single-edge wood-framed mirror, and just how great would it look on a dark bronze wall? |

Want to spice things up? Take your décor up a notch to the tune of a Moroccan beat. Morocco’s old world eclecticism and dye-drenched hues of a sunnier disposition add a bit of warmth and interest where ever you need it. Moroccan flare can come in the shape of a fantastically silhouetted hanging lantern with fun geometric cut outs.
These large embroidered Moroccan leather Pouffs are hand-stitched in Marrakech and are available in black white or tan. I have seen these gems popping up in living rooms and bedrooms for a casual and fun bohemian look. £199 Each
Anichini’s Peacock bedding will transform your boudoir into a jewel box of intricately embroidered silk taffeta. The decorative shams feature a 100% silk taffeta embroidered with a Peacock feather design. The coverlet is shot taffeta with embroidered peacock feathers in Turquoise, they are available through Bliss Linens.
Plantation Home Accessories have a beautiful Moroccan style decorative pierced porcelain vase lantern / candle holder. The interesting cut-outs and shape lend a fabulous texture, especially when lit. $195
Painted by hand in colorful Moroccan style, this tall, slender cabinet is a cool swirl of gold, teal, and antiqued cream truly looks antique. Made of wood with one fixed shelf. $1,299 from Horchow |

It seems like Scrabble has found a new fan with Facebook users playing virtual games that can span continents and in my case, several weeks! I do love a hands-on game though, especially when played on the Scrabble Premier Edition from Hasbro. This beautiful mahogany finished game board featuring a golden raised grid, lazy-susan spinning capabilities and built-in drawer is even on Oprah’s Favorite Things List.
You can even take your favorite game to the beach! The Scrabble Board Cotton Beach Towel can take your fellow gamers outdoors with you! It makes me appreciate the fun Scrabble-inspired furniture that Stephen Reed made for employees in the London offices of Bloomberg financial services. The staff can arrange the letter-printed cushions to leave a message, and it has me thinking just how fun would these be in your family room on games night? |
